UMF All Stars features some of the greatest competitors in the seven seasons of Ultimate Match Fishing along with several newcomers, or crowd favorites, as recommended by our Facebook fans. To start things off right, how about Tommy Biffle and Gary Klein going head-to-head on Pickwick?
Match 2 features Edwin Evers, a threat to win any given week, against 2004 Bassmaster Classic Champion Takahiro Omori. Tak is our first international competitor on Ultimate Match Fishing and we're excited about it.
Match 3 features two first-time UMF contenders. Mike McClelland and Jeff
Kreit actually travel and room together on the Elite Series trail. Now, they'll have to put aside their friendship and become competitors UMF style, which is just a little different than they're used to doing on the Elite Series. OK. A lot different!
The 4th UMF All Star match features a battle of the nicknames. Greg "The Hack Attack" Hackney vs. Terry "Big Show" Scroggins. Both Hackney and Scroggins are returning competitors although neither have made it past the first round. This time, that's going to change.
Dean Rojas and Mark Davis are no strangers to UMF. These two All Stars actually faced each other in Season 1 on Kentucky Lake. And while Mark Davis has won Bassmaster Classics and Angler of the Year titles, he's never defeated Dean Rojas in UMF. How's that for incentive?
In a match that will always be considered one the greatest in UMF history, Boyd Duckett defeated Kelly Jordon and his now famous "spoon" on Kentucky Lake in 2008 by less than 1/100th of an ounce. That's right... 1/100th. Only the UMF All Stars can bring them back together head-to head for another battle royale!
